Each family has its own schedule and rules about bedtime. Have you talked this over with your mother? In a respectful voice, share your feelings with her about your bedtime. Then listen to what she has to say. Perhaps you can come to an agreement about what your proper bedtime should be.

You might also ask your mother if you could read in bed for a short while before turning off your light. But please respect her decision.
