Friends
or Foes?
My friend doesn’t like my other friend. How should I make
them friends?

Friendship troubles can be difficult. We’re sorry to hear
that this situation is causing you concern.
Perhaps
you could talk with your friend about how you feel. Find a time
when you can speak privately with her. Then calmly and kindly
explain your feelings. Perhaps she doesn’t realize it bothers
you that she doesn’t like your other friend.
You
might also try to set up a time for the three of you to spend
together. For example, you might invite both friends over to your
house. If they spend some time together, they may grow to like
each other.
Remember,
though, that it is not necessary for all of your friends to be
friends with one another. You can spend time with these friends
separately. Remember, too, that you can’t change how someone
feels or acts. You can encourage them to change, but they are
the only ones who can make it happen.
If
this situation continues to bother you, you might think about
talking with your parents about it. They’ll likely have
some good suggestions to share.
We
hope this helps!
Best
wishes,
