How to Make It:
-
From cardboard, draw and cut out four walls with tabs—two of each kind shown in the diagrams below. Cut holes for windows.

To make windows, cut squares from the plastic window on a bakery box. Use a marker to draw panes. Tape the windows behind the cutout window holes on the walls.
Put glue on the front of the tabs, and assemble the walls, with the tabs inside the cabin.
To make each “log,” cut a strip from a paper bag, roll it around a pencil, and glue it. Glue the logs on the walls. Let the end of every second log stick out to interlock with the logs from the other walls, as shown in the photo.
From cardboard, cut out a roof to fit the cabin. Glue it on. Make a chimney from cardboard. Cut the bottom to fit the angle of the roof. Glue it on.
Glue the cabin onto a piece of cardboard. Add details with a marker. Add a porch roof and other details with cardboard and paper rolls.
