How to Make It:

  1. Use a marker to trace around an 8-inch-square cake pan three times onto old, clean, thin dish towels that an adult has given you permission to use.

  2. Trace around the cake pan once onto a piece of smooth scrap fabric.

  3. Cut out all four squares.

  4. Use tacky craft glue to glue the squares on top of one another with the scrap-fabric square on top.

  5. Trim the edges of the mouse pad. Glue fabric trim or ribbon around the edges. Let the glue dry.

  6. If your mouse pad slides around when you use it, cut wide rubber bands and glue or tape them on the bottom.
