How to Make It:

  1. Cut one-inch “deposit” and “withdrawal” flaps on two sides of a shoebox lid. Wrap small rubber bands around the flaps to keep them closed.

  2. Glue construction paper along the bottom of the lid. Lay strips of corrugated cardboard around the edges of the lid and through the center to make a path for the coins. Glue the cardboard in place.

  3. Decorate your bank, then glue a thin, clear piece of plastic (as from a large take-out container) over the design to hold in the coins.
