Domino Bookends

What You’ll Need:

• two plastic food-storage bags
• sand or dirt
• two rectangular boxes
• black and white construction paper
• tape
• scissors
• glue

How to Make It:

1. Fill two plastic food-storage bags with sand or dirt and place them inside two rectangular boxes of the same size. (Instant-oatmeal boxes work well.)

2. Cover the boxes with black construction paper, as if you were wrapping a gift. Tape the paper in place.

3. Cut domino dots and four rectangular divider lines from white construction paper. Glue the white divider lines across the center of both sides of each domino. Glue white circles above and below the divider lines.

4. Place the bookends at each end of a row of books or make several more and use them to play dominoes.
