What You’ll Need:
- 9-inch-by-9-inch drawing paper
- pencil
- piece of fruit
- paint
- markers
- glue
- cardboard
- two large books
- scissors
How to Make It:
-
Divide a piece of 9-inch-by-9-inch drawing paper into a grid of 3-inch squares, marking the lines very lightly.
-
Make a stamp out of a cross section of a piece of fruit. This puzzle was made using a carambola, or star fruit. Stamp the impression of the fruit along the lines of the grid and edges of the paper. Use four different paint colors, rinsing the stamp well between pressings. Use markers to add color to the background.
-
Glue the puzzle onto a piece of cardboard. Weigh the puzzle down while it dries by sandwiching it between two large books.
-
Cut the puzzle along the pencil lines into nine pieces. Shuffle the pieces and try to fit them back together.
