What You’ll Need:
- felt
- scissors
- cardboard
- marker
- hole punch
- metal fastener

How to Make It:
-
To make a sandwich for each player, cut out the following shapes from felt: 2 bread slices, 1 meat slice, 1 cheese slice, 1 lettuce leaf, 1 tomato slice, and 1 pickle.
-
To make a spinner, cut out a circle and an arrow shape from cardboard. With a marker, divide the circle into six wedges. In the wedges, draw the foods from Step 1 and write their names. (Use only one wedge for bread.) Color the arrow, and punch a hole in the middle of it. Poke a hole in the middle of the circle. Loosely fasten the arrow onto the circle with a metal fastener.
To play, players take turns spinning. To begin building their sandwiches, players must wait until they spin bread (for the bottom slice). They may then build their sandwiches in any order, according to the foods that they spin. If a player spins a food that is already on his or her sandwich, the player loses that turn. To finish the game, players need to spin bread again (for the top slice). Whoever builds his or her sandwich first wins.
