What You’ll Need:
- scissors
- ruler
- poster board
- pencil
- small paper plate
- hole punch
- yarn
- markers and stickers
- spring-type clothespin
- glue
How to Make It:
-
For the airport, cut out a 10-inch square from poster board. Draw a circle on it by tracing around a small paper plate. Cut out the circle.
-
Punch a hole in two corners of the airport. For a hanger, tie yarn through the holes.
-
Use markers and stickers to decorate the airport.
-
For the airplane, use markers to color a spring-type clothespin.
-
From poster board, cut out one long oval shape for the wings and two short ones for the tail. Add stickers. Glue the wing shape into the mouth of the clothespin. Glue the mouth closed. Glue on the tail shapes, as shown.
-
Hang the airport in a tree or another place outside. Place a twig on the ground a few feet away from the airport, and stand behind it. Take aim, and toss the plane through the hole in the airport. Invite friends to play!
