What You’ll Need:
- scissors
- five 20-ounce plastic bottles
- glue
- tissue paper
- brush
- waxed paper
- cardboard
- paper
- green crepe-paper streamers
- 8-10 plastic coffee-can lids
How to Make It:
-
With an adult’s help, cut off the bottom section from five 20-ounce plastic bottles. Recycle the top sections.
-
To make the pumpkins, glue pieces of orange tissue paper over the bottle bottoms and brush them with glue for a hard finish. Set them aside to dry on waxed paper.
-
Cut out a large circle from cardboard and cover it with paper. Glue the pumpkins, open-side down, to the cardboard base. Leave space between each pumpkin.
-
Crush five small pieces of green tissue paper into stem shapes. Make vine and leaf shapes from green crepe-paper streamers. Glue them around the pumpkins and base.
-
To make the rings, cut out and discard the center sections of eight to ten plastic coffee-can lids.
To play: Each player takes a turn throwing all of the rings. Each ring around a pumpkin scores one point. Whoever reaches 20 points first is the winner.
