How to Make It:

  1. Cut out two identical hearts from construction paper. Cut out a smaller heart from white poster board.

  2. Trace around the small heart ten times onto plain white paper. Cut out the paper hearts. Stack them, then staple them onto one of the large hearts to make the notepad.

  3. In the small poster-board heart, punch two holes for the pencil. Glue this heart onto the unused large heart to make the cover. Use crayons to decorate it.

  4. Slide a pencil through the cover for a arrow, poking through the larger heart.

  5. Place the cover on top of the notepad. Punch a hole through the top of both parts. Tie them with ribbon.
