What You’ll Need:
- tiny flowers and leaves
- waxed paper
- heavy books
- scissors
- clear self-adhesive paper
- tape
- newspaper
- iron
How to Make It:
-
Collect tiny flowers and leaves. Put them between two sheets of waxed paper, and set some heavy books on top. Let them dry for about a week.
-
Cut out two pieces of clear self-adhesive paper. Make each as big as a bookmark.
-
Peel off and discard the backing from one piece. Tape down the ends of the paper (sticky-side up). Arrange the dried flowers and leaves on it.
-
Peel off and discard the backing from the other piece. Set the paper (sticky-side down) on the piece with the flowers and leaves. Press the pieces together, and try to smooth out the air bubbles. Remove the tape.
-
Trim around the edges of the bookmark.
-
With an adults help, set the bookmark between sheets of newspaper, and iron it with a warm iron. This will get rid of some of the air bubbles.
