What You’ll Need:
- fabric
- marker
- scissors
- needle
- thread
- dry pine needles
- felt
- buttons
- twine
How to Make It:
-
Fold a piece of fabric so that the patterned sides face each other. Draw a simple 5-inch-long mouse shape on it.
-
Keeping
the fabric folded, cut out the shape. You’ll have
two mouse shapes. -
With the patterned sides facing each other, sew the edges of the mouse shapes together, using a running stitch. (See diagram.) Leave a 1-inch opening.
-
Turn the mouse patterned-side out (through the opening).
-
Stuff the mouse with dry pine needles, then sew the opening closed.
-
Sew on felt ears, button eyes, and a piece of twine for a tail.
-
Use the mouse to scent a drawer or a bookbag.
