What You’ll Need:
- magazine
- black paper
- pencil
- scissors
- tracing or tissue paper
- glue
- white paper
How to Make It:
Think of a scene that has three parts to itone close up, one farther back, and one in the distance. Look through magazine pictures for ideas.
On black paper, draw the outline of each part of your scene. Cut them out.
Place the black cutouts on three separate sheets of tracing or tissue paper (with the closest part of the scene on the top sheet). Arrange and glue the cutouts in place.
Set all three sheets on a piece of white paper. Glue them in place along the top edge only (so the layers can be lifted to see the individual silhouettes). The layers create the illusion of depth.
