Independence Hall Model

Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is one of the most famous buildings in the United States. The Declaration of Independence
was signed there on July 4, 1776, when the building was still called the Pennsylvania State House. Four days later, the Declaration was
read to the public. People celebrated, and the State House bell was rung, proclaiming our nation's freedom from England. This bell came to be
known as the Liberty Bell. The inscription on the Bell reads:
"Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof."

What You’ll Need:

shoebox
clean half-gallon carton
tape
red, white, and blue paper
glue
clean half-pint carton
small white paper cup
scissors
markers

How to Make It:

Find a shoebox for the main building and a clean half-gallon carton for the base of the steeple. Tape down the top of the carton.
Cover both containers with red paper. For the roofs, cover the top of each with blue paper. Glue the carton onto the front of the shoebox.
Tape down the top of a clean half-pint carton, and cover it with white paper. Glue it on the steeple base. Decorate a small white paper cup, and glue it upside down on top of the carton. Form a cone shape from a paper triangle, and glue it on top.
From paper, cut out windows, doors, and a clock. Add details with markers and glue them on.
