Kwanzaa Necklace

What You’ll Need:

• paint
• uncooked rigatoni
• heavy string
• ruler
• beads
• scissors

How to Make It:

1. Paint uncooked rigatoni red, black, and green. (Black stands for the African American people, red stands for their struggles, and green stands for their hopes.)

2. When the paint dries, thread the rigatoni onto a 2 1/2-foot-long piece of heavy string. Use beads, too, if you wish.

3. Tie the ends of the string so that the necklace is long enough to fit over your head. Trim the excess string.
