How to Make It:

  1. Choose two boxes—one large and one small—to create the truck. (A pasta box and a half-pint milk container were used for this sample.) Fill the boxes with crumpled newspaper, and tape them closed.

  2. Cover the boxes with colored paper, then glue the cab (small box) to the trailer (large box). Use rubber bands to hold them in place while the glue dries.

  3. Draw and cut wheel shapes from cardboard. Color them and glue them along the bottom of the truck. Also cut out and glue on windows, headlights, a grill, a license plate, and other decorations. Add two drinking-straw pieces for exhaust pipes.
