Floating Boat

What You’ll Need:

• clean plastic-foam trays
• scissors
• tacky craft glue
• paper
• toothpicks
• spool
• wooden bead
• felt

How to Make It:

1. From a clean plastic-foam tray, cut out a shape for the base of the boat. Save any leftover pieces.

2. For the cabin, cut out three rectangles and two squares from another tray. (The sides of the squares should be as long as the short ends of the rectangles.) Cut windows in two of the rectangles.

3. Assemble and glue the cabin onto the base using tacky craft glue. Make a chair from the leftover plastic-foam pieces, and glue it onto the base.

4. Create flags from paper, and glue them onto toothpicks. Stick the flags into the top corners of the cabin.

5. Make a toy person, using a spool, wooden bead, and felt. Glue the toy onto the chair.
