How to Make It:

  1. Flatten a short cardboard tube. At one end, cut out a triangle shape to make the shark’s mouth. Save the pieces you cut out.

  2. At the other end, cut out a triangle shape from each side of the tube to make the shark’s tail.

  3. To make the dorsal fin, use one of the extra pieces from the mouth. Glue it to the opening in the tube above the tail.

  4. Glue together the edges of the shark’s body and tail, but not the mouth. Use paper clips to hold the edges closed until the glue dries.

  5. Paint the shark and let it dry. Draw or paint eyes and fins. Squeeze the top and bottom of the tube to make the shark snap.
