How to Make It:

  1. Draw a small shape on cardboard, and cut it out. Trace around it fifteen to twenty times on different-colored pieces of felt. Cut out the shapes. Use pinking shears for a zigzag edge.

  2. On a flat surface, lay the shapes in a line, overlapping the ends.

  3. Measure around your waist, then measure the line of shapes. Adjust the shapes so the line is an inch or two longer than your waist measurement.

  4. Glue the felt shapes together with tacky craft glue. When the glue dries, decorate your belt with fabric paint, markers, or buttons.

  5. When the belt is dry, stitch a Velcro piece on each end so you can fasten it, or use a button.
