What You’ll Need:
- pencil
- cardboard
- scissors
- colored felt
- pinking shears
- tape measure
- craft glue
- fabric paint, markers, or buttons
- needle and thread
- Velcro
How to Make It:
-
Draw a small shape on cardboard, and cut it out. Trace around it fifteen to twenty times on different-colored pieces of felt. Cut out the shapes. Use pinking shears for a zigzag edge.
-
On a flat surface, lay the shapes in a line, overlapping the ends.
-
Measure around your waist, then measure the line of shapes. Adjust the shapes so the line is an inch or two longer than your waist measurement.
-
Glue the felt shapes together with tacky craft glue. When the glue dries, decorate your belt with fabric paint, markers, or buttons.
-
When the belt is dry, stitch a Velcro piece on each end so you can fasten it, or use a button.
