Make-Believe Bird’s Nest

What You’ll Need:

• small deep bowl
• brown paper bag
• scissors
• glue
• yarn
• string
• small twigs or leaves
• paper or pompom eggs

How to Make It:

1. Select a small deep bowl. From a brown paper bag, cut out two circles slightly larger than the top of the bowl.

2. Glue the circles together. Before the glue dries, push the circles inside the bowl, smoothing them against the inside surface to form a nest shape.

3. Leaving the nest in the bowl, make a lining for it by cutting narrow strips of brown paper bag. Glue them around the inside of the nest, twisting some of them, and add a few pieces of yarn, string, and perhaps small twigs or leaves. Let them dry.

4. Remove the nest from the bowl. Glue more materials to the outside of the nest and let them dry.

5. Add paper or pompom eggs.
