Sunflower Pincushion

What You’ll Need:

• detergent-bottle cap
• scissors
• fabric or felt
• glue
• plastic-foam ball
• rubber band
• needles and pins

How to Make It:

1. Clean a cap from a detergent or fabric-softener bottle.

2. Cut out flower petals from fabric or felt. Glue them around the inside edge of the cap.

3. Cut a scrap of fabric to fit over a plastic-foam ball that is slightly larger than the opening of the cap. Gather the fabric edges under the ball, and secure them there with a rubber band.

4. Glue the ball on top of the petals, with the rubber band inside the cap. Let it dry.

5. Poke needles and pins into the pincushion to keep them handy.
