What You’ll Need:
- scissors
- ruler
- sturdy fabric
- needle
- thread
- dried beans or dried split peas
- microwave or freezer

How to Make It:
-
To make a large pack, cut out two 10-inch-square pieces from sturdy fabric. Or, to make a small pack, cut out two 5-inch-square pieces.
-
Put one piece on top of the other, with the nicer sides of the fabric facing each other. Using close stitches, sew them together around the edges, leaving a 2-inch opening. Turn the pack inside out through the opening.
-
Fill the pack with dried beans or dried split peas. Stitch the opening closed.
-
To heat, use a microwave (with an adults permission). Heat a large pack for two minutes, or a small pack for one minute.
-
To make it cold, put the pack in a freezer until youre ready to use it.
