He has illustrated the following books by Laurence Pringle: An Extraordinary Life: The Story of a Monarch Butterfly; A Dragon in the Sky: The Story of a Green Darner Dragonfly; Crows!: Strange and Wonderful; and Fire in the Forest: A Cycle of Growth and Renewal.

Bob and Larry recently received a National Science Foundation Artists and Writers Program Grant to research a book about Weddell seals in Antarctica. During that trip, Bob will send an e-postcard to HighlightsKids.com every day.

Bob says, “Through my postcards, I’d like to show kids the relationship between art and science. I hope they’ll also see that, with close observation, common things can become fascinating.”
