Polar Postcards from Bob Marstall
McMurdo Station, Antarctica
There’s more to being a children’s illustrator than just drawing. Many artists also travel great distances to study and photograph their subjects.

Research took illustrator Bob Marstall to McMurdo Station in Antarctica. He was there for a month studying Weddell seals for a kids’ book that he was working on. What’s it like down by the South Pole? You can find out! Bob agreed to send us e-postcards while he was there. Click on the images below to follow Bob’s amazing experience in Antarctica!
