Weddell World Kitchen

Dear Friend,

Within the Jamesway is a small dorm for sleeping and a workroom filled with scientific equipment for studying seals. There is another special room called the “wet lab.” This unheated room has a big hole in the floor, and beneath that, a hole in the ice where wild seals can come up for air!

There is also a kitchen. At Weddell World, everyone works hard all day, but good food is very important—you have to eat to stay warm! Every single person (including me) takes turns cooking meals and cleaning up. It really is a lot like camp!
