Goodbye to the Seals

Dear Friend,

Today was my last day in Antarctica. I feel sad that I have to leave, but I feel VERY lucky that I had the biggest adventure of my life! I got to see many things that I never, ever thought I’d see, including glaciers, the Dry Valleys, wild penguins, and steam coming from a giant volcano. I got to watch scientists while they worked in the most untouched and far away place in the world. And most of all, I spent a LOT of time with a very special and beautiful marine mammal, the Weddell seal. I hope that you enjoyed the trip, too!
