Sea
life in Antarctica
|
Dear Friend,
At McMurdo, I especially like to visit the marine laboratory
of the Crary Science and Engineering Center. A variety
of fishes and sea stars are kept there. Scientists are
trying to learn more about the lives of these creatures.
Even though the seas around Antarctica are very cold,
many kinds of fishes thrive here. So do sea slugs, sea
urchins, and sea spiders.
Your
friend,
Bob
