Science Question

I did not know the answer to your question, so I sent it to our friend Dr. John J. Mettler. Dr. Mettler is a veterinarian. Here is what Dr. Mettler said about your question.

It is not uncommon for dogs to try to imitate sounds they hear. For instance, some dogs howl when they hear a fire siren, and a boy I knew had a dog that used to sing when the boy played the violin. If a dog hears a sound it doesnt like, it will run and hide, so I expect the dog is singing.
