We live on a farm. We have chickens and goats. I love them all and want to spend equal time with them. But every time I leave the goats to go to the chickens, the goats cry. What should I do?

Many people who share their lives with animals find that paying attention to one will often cause another to demand attention. It sounds as if spending equal time with the chickens and the goats is a good idea.
You might try talking to your goats in a cheerful manner as you are leaving them. Even if they can't understand what you are saying, your tone of voice and gentle manner should convey something. You could even call to the goats when you are over by the chickens to let them know that you hear them.
Don't feel bad about the goats crying. At least they have the company of one another.
