You might be surprised—we have heard from kids who want glasses just because they like the look of them! But if anyone teases you, try to laugh it off. You can say “I know I look different, but I love being able to see everything!” If the teasers don’t get a reaction from you, they may leave you alone.
Try also to remember that good friends will like you for who you are, not for what you wear. Hold your head high, be yourself, and show confidence. If you can do that, people will notice how happy you look while wearing your new glasses.
