Fire drills are loud and unpredictable, but having a good plan might put your mind at ease. Try asking your teacher to review the plan with you. You can even ask what to do if you happen to be in the washroom during a fire drill. Other kids might be wondering the same thing!
If the alarm startles you when it sounds, take a few deep breaths and remind yourself that you are prepared for this. Then calmly follow the fire-drill plan set out by your teacher. The more times you practice, the more prepared you will feel for the next drill.
