Why can't we feel Earth spinning?

As Earth spins, its surface moves very fast, but so do all the things that are held to its surface by gravity—including you! When you move at the same smooth and steady speed, you don’t usually feel movement.

Think of what it’s like when you’re in a moving car. Moving at a steady speed on a straight, flat road, you may not feel movement, except for small vibrations. But if the car speeds up, slows down, moves around a curve, or hits a bump, you notice those movement changes. The spin of Earth doesn’t make those kinds of changes.
