Easy Banana Muffins

Before You Begin: Line 10 muffin cups with paper baking cups. Adult: Preheat the oven to 350° F.

What You’ll Need
  • Paper baking cups
  • 4 very ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
What to Do
  1. Use a potato masher or a fork to mash the bananas.


  2. Add the eggs and mix.


  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flours, walnuts, sugar, soda, spices, and salt. Add the banana mixture and stir.


  4. Spoon the batter into the muffin cups. Adult: Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
